Everything you need to bukhoor at home. Our Bukhoor Mamoul, made in Kuwait, comes with a mini wooden mubkhar and an engraved steel mulgat, ready to use straight out of the box.

What's in the set

  • 10g Bukhoor Mamoul: rich, slow-burning pieces for the home and for clothes
  • Mini wooden mubkhar: a solid wooden burner with a metal bowl for the charcoal
  • Mulgat: steel bukhoor tongs engraved with roses

The carved wooden tray shown in the photos is not included.

The mubkhar is small and handsome enough to leave out, so it looks good on a shelf, side table or desk even when it isn't lit. It comes in one of two wooden designs (square with brass inlay, or carved hexagonal), chosen at random. Each is finished by hand, so yours may differ slightly from the photos.

How to use

  1. Light a charcoal disc in the mubkhar and wait until it turns grey.
  2. Use the mulgat to place one piece of mamoul on top.
  3. Let the smoke fill the room, or hold your clothes over it.

Never leave a lit mubkhar unattended, and always place it on a heat-safe surface. Charcoal not included.

  1. The charcoal

    Light a charcoal disc and wait until it turns grey.
