Bukhoor Mamoul

Our new mamoul bukhoor, made in Kuwait. Mamoul (معمول) is bukhoor that has been prepared and perfumed, so each piece releases a rich, rounded smoke as soon as it touches the coal. It burns nicely and slowly, filling the room without turning harsh.

Each box holds 10g of bukhoor. The box is included in the price.

For the home, and your clothes
Mamoul is made first and foremost for the house. Burn a piece when guests are coming, after cooking, or simply to give your majlis that warm Gulf scent. It also works beautifully on clothing: hold your thobe, abaya or scarf over the smoke and the scent stays with you.

The box
A glossy, deep mahogany-toned wooden box with a rich lacquered finish, gold-tone hinges and a gold clasp on the front. Inside, it's lined in soft cream suede-feel fabric that sets off the dark bukhoor. Neat enough to keep on the side next to the mubkhar, and ready to give as a gift.

How to use
Light a charcoal disc in your mubkhar and let it burn until it turns grey with ash. Place one or two pieces on top and let the smoke rise. Leave it to scent the room, or pass your clothes over it. Never leave burning bukhoor unattended.
